Gina Ehlin grew up in the small town of Clinton, Washington.   She and her husband, Tim, live on the coast of Oregon in Coos Bay where they raised their two sons, Tim and Tom.  As a teenager, Gina enjoyed writing her thoughts on paper, but it wasn't long before writing had become a thing of her past until recently.

She was inspired by the Lord and encouraged by her husband to write Emma's Airport Adventure after spending much of her time at the airport where she had witnessed many children experience the security process.   She wrote Emman's Airport Adventure to help prepare children for their travel through an airport.

Gina knew that Emma was a special girl and would soon become a friend to many young children throughout the nation.  Her search for an illustrator led her to Nina Ayzenberg, of Maryland, who brought Emma to life through her brilliance of talent.
